The longstanding and successful lecture series “Ringvorlesung – Wege zur Erforschung des Gehirns” features outstanding neuroscientists from across Germany, offering a platform to present cutting-edge research to a German-speaking audience. The lectures are held in person and aim to make complex neuroscience topics accessible to a broad public.
In the current series Claudia Böhm from Charité Berlin was presenting a talk titled “Wie in neuronalen Netzwerken Bedeutung entsteht.”. She explores the critical role of the prefrontal cortex in enabling flexible behavior, decision-making, and adaptation to new environments. This fascinating topic sheds light on how neural networks create meaning and guide behavior, offering insights into the mechanisms underlying human cognition.
