Imagine we’re in an elevator and you have until we reach our floor to pitch your project/idea.

What’s your elevator pitch?

I like to think about interneurons as the bouncers of cortical networks. Our project will give a better understanding of how they modulate the party.

What fascinates you about your project?

To be part of such an experienced and competent team, unraveling how our brain functions on multiple levels is an exceptional and fascinating journey. I am particularly grateful to have the opportunity to investigate relevant neuroscientific questions in the human cortex.

How did you come to work in the field of Neuroscience?

During my study of biophysics, I realized that I was more drawn to physiological questions or let’s even say biological topics and living things. When I got the chance to do my thesis in molecular psychiatry, the step towards neuroscience was nearby.

What does your family think you do for a living?
